INJURIES PROVE FATAL

SEQUEL TO SKID IN LOOSE SAND HAMILTON MAN'S DEATH From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. The death of Mr. James George Harp, 50, a well-known Hamilton citizen, occurred in the Waikato Hospital this morning. On Labour Day Mr. Harp was returning in a car to Hamilton from Arapuni, and near Horahora the car skidded in loose sand and overturned. Mr. Harp was pinned beneath, receiving serious chest injuries. Mr. Harp was formerly a member of the Hamilton Borough Council, and took a deep interest in civic affairs. Before the war he was instrumental in having a commission appointed to investigate alleged ill-treatment of boys of the training ship Amokoura. He was formerly secretary of the Oddfellows’ Lodge, and was the chief factor last year in causing the local members to secede and form the new lodge known as the City of Waikato Benefit Society.
