LORD CARSON RETIRES

NOTED COURT OF APPEAL JUDGE British Official Wireless RUGBY, Thursday. Lord Carson has resigned his office as Lord Justice of Appeal. Lord Carson was appointed a Lord Justice in Ordinary of the Appeal Court in 1921, with a life peerage. He is now 75. As Sir Edward Carson he had a great reputation, and a great practice at the Bar, and was a noted cross-examiner. He sat in the House of Commons as a Conservative from 1892 to 1921 for Irish constituencies, and was Solicitor-General, 1900-06, and Attorney-General, 3 915. He was in the War Cabinet, 1917-IS.
