LABOUR DAY SPORTS CLOSE FINISH IN SHEFFIELD From Our Own Correspondent PAPAKURA, Monday. A good day’s sport was witnessed at Papakura today when the Athletic Club staged its Labour Hay sports meeting. The programme consisted of track running and cycling, and some particularly keen racing took place. In the big event, the Sheffield Handicap, of iJ2S. a great finish took place between J. Linden, J. Maloney and 11. Hudson, the trio racing neck and neck to the tape, and finishing in that order. C. Slack won the two-mile cycling race. W. K. Francis being second.
