Twenty rinks competed, representing all the clubs m the association, namely. Clevedon, Papakura, Patumahoe, Waiuku. Pukekohe, Buckland and Tuakau. Play was conducted in four sections. Section A was won by a Pukekohe rink, Grandison. Munroe, Hosking and Armstrong, with three wins and one loss. In section B, a Waiuku rink, McXaughton. West, Teate and B. Neil, was first with four wins. Section C was won by a Waiuku rink. Bridle, Gerathv, Whiteside. Roscoe, with four wins. A Clevedon rink, skipped by Smith, was successful in section D, also with four wins. The inter-section play will take place on the Pukekohe green next Saturday. ONEHUNGA The Onehunga Bowling Club held an all-day tournament yesterday, play being divided into two sections of six teams each. The greens were in good order and the games were started at 10 o clock, the weather remaining fine. Knight, of Mangere, with 5 wins, won the seceion A. while Kenny, of Onehunga, was successful in section B, with 5 wins. The final will be played next Monday. EPSOM TOURNEY The Epsom Bowling Club held an allda v tourney yesterday, 18 teams from various clubs competing. Section A was won by Wylie, Hill. W. Smith and J. Wright, with four wins and one loss. In section B, E. Taylor, A. Taylor, Gratten and Richmond, and Penn, J. Harrison. Parsons and Blakey tied with four wins and one loss each, Richmond being victorious in the play-off by 7 to 5. He will meet Wright in the final. CLAUDELANDS A progressive pairs tourney was held on the Claudelands bowling green yesterday. J. H. Wiltshire was the winning skip, with five wins and one loss to his credit. E. V. Quick and P. A. Syers tied for first place among the leads, with four wins each. In the play-off Quick won. HAMILTON A progressive bowling tournament was concluded on the Hamilton green this afternoon. It resulted in a win for Andrews. Aitken, Yeoman and W. Chapman, with six wins and no losses. WAITEMATA CLUB The ‘Waitemata Bowling Club’s Labour Hay tournament resulted in & win for McPhail and Robertson after a play-off with Burrows and Elston.
