PROPOSED FLIGHT TO CAPE AND BACK (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) LONDON, Saturday. The aeronautical correspondent of the “Daily News” says the Duchess of Bedford proposes to attempt to fly from London to Capetown and back in a fortnight. The distance is 16,000 miles. Captain C. D. Barnard is to pilot the 500 horse-power Fokker monoplane, which was used on the return flight from India with the Duchess. A second pilot is to accompany them, but the “flying Duchess” may take the controls when Captain Barnard is resting.
