CAMBRIDGE FESTIVAL
SUCCESSFUL EVENT CLOSES CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS CAMBRIDGE, Today. The Cambridge musical festival con* eluded last evening with a concert by the prizewinners, there being abou: 800 present at the Town Hall. In all respects this year’s festival has been the most successful yet he:fl by the society, and the concert broadcast last night as c fitting finale. Championship points prizes were won as follow:—Vocal sections, special cup, Miss Adele Bell (Pirongia), 344 points: runner-up. Miss Doris Moore (Auckland), 338 points; champion woman vocalist. Miss Adele Bell, 1* points: runner-up, Miss Doris Moort. 1G points. Men’s vocal championship: Erj c Ewart (Hamilton), 12 points: runnerup, Bruce Anderson (Hamilton), points. Elocutionary championship Maurice Wilkinson (Cambridge). 11 points. . No championship was awarded, highest in the women’s elocution**? section being Miss Norma Langtor. 13A points, and Mrs. W. J. Ward, * points, both of Cambridge.
