RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“PICCADILLY” -Piccadilly.” a Cinema Art picture, is the principal film now at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres. A notable cast, including Anna May Wong, Jameson Thomas, Gilda Gray, and Cyril Ritchard. is seen in the leading roles, and each player appears to advantage in a story of the night life of London. The scenario was specially written -for the screen by Arnold and the film was directed by Mr. E. A. Dupont. The story deals with the career of a Chinese girl employed in the kitchen of a famous night club. She displays extraordinary dancing ability, and soon achieves fame. The disastrous results of her success are shown in a thrilling climax. The second film is ‘‘The Comedy Kid.” in which Hoot Gibson plays the leading role. Jack Oakie, Frank Ross and William Austin have been assigned important roles in “Sweetie.” Paramount’s musical romance of college life in which Nancy Carroll will have the leading role.
