HUNTLY TOWN BOARD
A deputation consisting of Messrs. Harmsworth, Broadhurst. Alder, and Oxenbam waited on the Huntly Town Board last evening, to protect at the board.’saction in approving of a rubbish dump at the foot of Ralph and ■Williams Streets. Speakers pointed out that to erect a rubbish dump in the heart of the town was a menace to the health of the community. The board decided to obtain from the Otahuhu Borough Council specifications of its incinerator, with a view to remedying the trouble. Mr. Lee Martin. M.P.. advised that as the power board had acquired a site at Hamilton, there was not much hope of the power board’s offices being erected in Huntly. A subdivision of an area on the Main South Road on account of Mrs. M. A. Jones and Mr. Thomas Stirling was approved. An application for additions to the ; hall was made by the Anglican Church trustees, and. subject to the Health Department's approval, was passed.
