CHEAP TOURING TICKETS

RAILWAY’S INNOVATION Cheap excursion touring - tickets are the latest innovation of the Railway Department. They will come into operation on September 9 and will enable holidaymakers to travel over both the XortTi and South Islands at a remarkably low cost. A first-class touring ticket, available over any line throughout New Zealand for seven weeks, will cost only £l6 ss, and a second-class ticket will cost only £l3. A first-class ticket to tour the Xorth Island for four weeks will cost £lO and a second-class ticket £7 10s. These rates also apply to the South Island. Formerly, cheap excursion rates for these periods were available only to people who cared to travel first-class, but the regulation has been altered to allow the fares to apply to both classes.
