DEVONPORT COURTHOUSE

PROSPECT OF NEW BUILDING Following representations from the VVaitemata Chamber of Commerce, Mr A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemata, has ad vanced the matter of the proposed new courthouse for Devouport. After a conference with Mr. Blakey, the delegate from the chamber, who also interviewed Mr. J. G, Coates and the Under-Secretary for Justice, Mr. Harris thoroughly Investigated the matter and now reports that there is no departmental objection to the project. However, Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., has been asked for his opinion and a report is awaited.
