S.M’S OPINION OF NAME SUPPRESSION REMAND ON BURGLARY CHARGE Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. “This sort of thing is becoming overdone.” said Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., this morning, when refusing an application for the suppression of the names of two young men. Leonard Edward Smith and Raymond Jack Vernon Elliott, who were remanded in custody on a charge of breaking and entering a coal merchant’s premises on August 17 and attempting to steal a safe and its contents valued at £IOO. Detective Meiklejohn indicated that the police would not oppose bail when a further remand was asked for till next Friday
