SUNNY PARK DAIRY COMPANY NEW FACTORY PROPOSED (From Our Own Correspondent J MATAMATA, Tuesday. At the annual meeting of the Sunny Park Dairy Company, held at Te Poi, Mr. J. Bell presided. The annual repent showed a record output of 611 tons of cheese. Figures for butter were slightly lower. Mr. Stopford considered the time was more than ripe for the erection of a butter factory separated from the cheese factory. It had been proved that the fumes from the cheese affected the quality of the butter manufactured in the same building. Factories in Taranaki were installing plants to make butter, cheese or casein and they should be prepared for a quick change over if the circumstances warranted. The sum of £1,500 would erect a building capable of handling 600 tons of butter annually. Mr. Madren explained that the company owned most of the machinery necessary, and it would be a small matter to supply all that was necessary to bring the plant up to date. After considerable discussion the meeting approved of the erection of a factory on the lines put before the meeting. Messrs. C. A. Stopford and C. 11. Dearlove were re-elected as directors unopposed. Messrs. Samson and O'Meara were re-elected auditors.
