MACKENZIE’S SUCCESS IN BIG RACES (Australian end X.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, Sunday. The 10 miles track championship of New South Wales was won by Jeff Mackenzie (Western Suburbs), with his club-mates. Frank Bailey and Sid. Hesketh, second and third respectively. Mackenzie’s time was 54m sls. A week ago Mackenzie won the 10,000 metres cross-country championship. Gainsford, the holder of the 10 miles title for five years, was absent owing to influenza.
