Spring Frocks Make Modest Entry
Though the weather has been anything but inviting the past few weeks, from a fashion point of view, it cleared up most surprisingly this morning. Consequently there was a fair sprinkling of new frocks for the races at Ellerslie, a few venturesome spirits trusting to the prospects of sunshine and spring. Mrs. AY. Roulston had on a coney seal coat, and black hat. Miss \ r . Roulston wore a brown toque, with brown Persian lamb coat. Miss Cuff wore a brown suit, and brown hat. Mrs. Abbott was in a black suit, with mustard hat. Lady Xolan wore a black persian lamb coat, collared with squirrel, and black and platinum grey hat. Mrs. Gillespie wore a wine red felt with her fur coat. Mrs. Rathbone wore a smart grey costume, with a cherry hat and furs. Mrs. AVright had on a navy fur-trimmed coat and beige hat. Mrs. R. Hannon wore a fur coat, with gay scarf and beige hat. Mrs. Eldon (Xapier), wore a furtrimmed flecked tweed coat, with beige hat. Mrs. McCallum wore a burgundy red ensemble with hat to tone. Mrs. Rainger wore a smart navy baku hat, with coney seal coat. Mrs. Ross was in a black suit and hat, with furs. Mrs. Elliott wore a brown flecked costume and brown hat. Mrs. Robei't Burns chose a black suit and hat, with fur stole. Miss Burns was in a pistache green suit, with hat and scarf to tone. Mrs. Parker Upton had -chosen cocoa brown suit and hat. Mrs. Prime wore a blue felt hat with her fur coat. Miss KL. Gumming wore a fur coat and chic felt hat. Airs. C. Brown wore a ravenswing blue suit and hat. Mrs. Hector Cameron was in a black coney seal coat and black hat. Airs. Xoakes chose a brown suit with brown felt hat. Aliss Noakes Vxd on cigar brown ensemble and brown hat. Miss V. Arnoldson chose a beige suit and hat, with fur necklet. Afiss K. Fisher had on a french grey costume with grey hat to tone. Airs. A. I-lammond wore a black seal, with grey and navy hat. Mrs. AlacDonald wore a black fur coat with black hat, osprey trimmed. Aliss AlacLonald chose a cocoa brown frock, fur coat, and brown and beige felt hat. ATrs. Phillip’s beige coat was trimmed with lambs wool, and brown hat. Airs. Stephen Hunter wore a tweed costume and brown hat. Airs. H. R. Potter chose a navy cloth coat and felt hat. Aliss E. Potter wore a beige flecked tweed coat and matching felt hat. Airs. Lusk wore a coney seal coat over a black frock, with blue hat. Mrs. Alarriner was in a black frock with black hat. Airs. H. R. Cook had on black frock, musquash coat, and black hat. Airs. E. Alison wore a squirrel coat with platinum hat. Aliss Edith Oxley chose a black ensemble with black hat. Aliss Afolly Bailey had on a chic burgundy ensemble and hat with fur coat. Airs. J. Russell’s smart coat was of beige, black and red flecked tweed, with black hat. Arrs. S. Robertson had on a coney seal coat and blue hat. Airs. Donald Gorrie wore a fur trimmed beige cloth coat and black hat. Mrs. AlcGregor Grant had on a navy suit with stone marten furs, and black and royal blue hat. Aliss Alison wore a mushroom frock and hat, with seal coat. Airs. Fothei'ingham was in a cedar rose flecked tweed suit with hat to tone. Airs. G. P. Finlay had on a black frock and coney seal coat, and mushroom hat. Airs. P. Alargetts wore a beige suit, stone marten necklet and beige and brown hat. Aliss Ararriner had on a cerise frock with beaver coat and cerise hat. Mrs. C. Schnauer wore a green frock, black seal coat with skunk collar, and green hat. Airs. Friedlander wore a black baku hat with a marmot coat over pastel crepe de chine. Airs. Russell wore a black sealskin coat and black hat. Airs. S. Mac Gill had chosen flowered ring velvet with black coat and blue hat. Airs. J. Hellaby wore a beige and brown flecked coat with fur necklet, and chic flecked felt hat. Aliss Tole wore a mole suit with burgundy felt hat. Airs. Watson Airey’s brown cloth coat was trimmed with skunk brown hat. Aliss Xolan had on a striped beige suit with fitch necklet and brown hat. Airs. W. Leys was in black, with a black hat relieved with oyster. Airs. C. Owen was in a black coneyseal coat, collared with skunk, and black velvet tam. Miss M. McCormick’s coat was of cedar rose face cloth, with a furtrimmed hat to tone. Mrs. Ti uesdale wore a beige ensemble with beige felt hat. Lady Sinclair Lockhart was in a black silk ensemble with black l*at 4 feather-trimmed. , , Miss Buckland wore a black cloth ensemble suit, with furs and black hat. Mrs. W. Lloyd had on a navy suit, and navy .velour hat. Aliss Smith was in mole coat and navy frock and hat. Airs. R. Johnston wore a musquash coat over a brown jumper suit and brown and beige felt hat. Miss Gwen Court had on a cherry red suit and hat, and marmot coat. Aliss L. Hutchinson wore a brown and prune flecked tweed coat and prune coloured hat. Airs. Suttey was in a navy and beige ensemble. Airs. D. Anderson chose navy and beige, with stole. Ml'S. C. Reid wore a slate grey suit and hat with furs. Miss Sloman had on a navy suit, with rose-beige hat. Airs. Blenkinsop wore a black gown and black straw hat with marmot coat. Aliss C. Sloman’s brown hat matched her smart cloth suit. Mrs. Newell had on a navy gown and hat, with her fur coat. Aliss Gwen Taylor wore a chic black suit with black felt toque and 3'ellow scarf. All's. Fred Newell was in a brown cloth coat and brown and beige felt hat. Airs. Quartley wore a wedgwood ensemble with navy hat. Airs. AY. Spence had on a cedar rose suit with hat to tone. Aliss Edna Schnauer wore a brown costume and mustard velour hat. Airs. R. Laird was in a black kilted skirt, black coat and black velour hat. Aliss E. Spence wore a chartreuse green and brown suit, with green wide-brimmed felt hat. Airs. J. Gray, of Hamilton, had on a black coney seal coat and black and blue felt hat. Airs. James Fisher, of Cambridge, had on a navy cloth coat and navy hat trimmed with ospreys. Airs. L. Shepherd wore a black cloth coat, fur trimmed, with black hat. Mrs. AI. AYynyard wore a brown furtrimmed coat, and brown hat, over a prune crepe de chine gown. Airs. Bray was in a black frock with black and gold, and fur coat. Aliss Noel Self wore a black suit with stone marten necklet, and black hat. Airs. Lyons had on a black furtrimmed coat and black hat.
