DOMINION’S HUGE TOTAL Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Registrations of motor-vehicles in New Zealand to the end of June, according to the annual report of the North Island Motor Union, were as follow:—Motor-cars, North Island 83,771, South Island 48,862; motortrucks, 19.912 and 9,070; motor-cycles, 20,720 and 14,554: totals, 124,403 and 72.486; grand total, 196,889. The following figures show the quantity of motor spirit imported and used in New Zealand:—From July 1 to December 31, 1928, 28,305,320 gallons; from January 1 to June 30, 1929. 28,394,626; total for the 12 months 56,699,946.
