CAR’S DOUBLE SOMERSAULT
PASSENGERS’ REMARKABLE ESCAPE (From Our Own Correspondent) NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. A large five-seater motor-car, containing two people, skidded and turned completely over twice on the main road near Egmont village on Tuesday afternoon. The driver, Mr. C. W. Haseldon, manager of the Inglewood branch of the Bank of New Zealand, was unhurt, and his wife, who accompanied him, escaped with severe bruises. , The car had turned a corner, and to avoid a collision with another vehicle Mr. Haseldon swung sharply off the road. The surface was greasy, and the car skidded and turned over twice. It was badly damaged.
