MAHIA REPORTED.— The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahia, which was dispatched from Auckland for New York, Boston, Halifax and London on July 22, is reported to have reached Panama last Monday. MAI MCA AT TENERIFFE. —En route from Wellington to London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Maimoa is reported to have cleared Teneriffe last Monday. The vessel was dispatched from Wellington on July 13. TASMANIA FROM LIVERPOOL.-The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer Tasmania, inward bound from Liverpool with West of England cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, is now due here on August 29. TOFUA RETURNING. —Due at Apia, Samoa, today, the Union Companv’s Island passenger steamer Tofua is scheduled to sail again on Saturday for Suva, and Auckland. She is expected to cleat' the Fijian port next Thursday and is due here the following Monday. PORT MELBOURNE LEAVES CANAL. —Cabled news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Melbourne left Panama on Monday morning lor Suva, Auckland and Port Chalmers, en route from London. The vessel is due at Suva about September 7, and at Auckland about September 18. The OIL FROM BORNEO. —Scheduled to arrive at Auckland early in September is the London-owned oil-tanker Emile Deutsch de la Meurthe, with bulk oil from Borneo. She is reported to have cleared Sourabaya on August J2. The tonnage of the vessel is 6.043, and she was built in 1921. The tanker comes to the agency of the Shell Company. PORT VICTOR REPORTED.— The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Victor is reported to have cleared Newport News last Monday, in continuation of her voyage from New York to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is expected at Auckland about September 20. H.M.S. DUNEDIN ARRIVES.— At 9.15 o’clock this morning H.M.S. Dunedin arrived at Auckland from Wellington. She berthed at Sheerlegs Wharf. The vessel will remain here until September 3. when she is to sail again for Wellington, where a change of commodore will take place. Leaving there on September IS, she is due back again at Auckland two days later.

RON A SAILS. —Having completed discharging sugar from Fiji at Chelsea, the Colonial Sugar Company’s steamer Kona sailed for Sydney last evening. MAHENO AND MAKURA.—The Maheno leaves Sydney at noon tomorrow for Auckland and the Makura at 3 p.m. for Wellington. Both vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. NIAGARA FROM SYDNEY.—Heaving Sydney this afternoon for Auckland, the Union Company's R.M.S. Niagara is due here next Monday morning, and is scheduled to sail again at 11 a.m. the following day for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver. CARGO FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA.— En route from Adelaide, the Union Company’s steamer Kaitangata is to leave Edithburg tomorrow and Melbourne next Monday for Hobart, where she fills up for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. AORANGI LEAVES VANCOUVER.— Cable advice received by the local olfice of the Union Company states that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi left Vancouver at noon yesterday via Victoria, Honolulu and Suva for Auckland and Sydney. She is due here on Sunday, September S. CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR REPORTS. —The Canadian National Steamships have received a w'ireless message from the Canadian Constructor reporting that the vessel is expected to arrive at Auckland on Sunday from Montreal. The vessel after putting out a port cargo at Auckland will go on to Australian ports to complete discharge. MATAROA TO COMPLETE.—Leaving Lyttelton this afternoon for Wellington, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s liner Mataroa is due here tomorrow to complete her loading for Home. She is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington at 6 a.m. on Wednesday next, August 28, for Southampton and London, via Panama. PORT GISBORNE TO COMPLETE.— Leaving Napier at 10 o’clock this evening for Auckland, the C. and D. Line’s motor-ship Port Gisborne is due here on Saturday morning and will berth at the Central Wharf to complete her loading under the agency of the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Company. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel finally from this port next Monday evening for New York, Boston and London, via Panama. CUMBERLAND DELAY ED.—Advice has been received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Federal steamer Cumberland has been delayed, and now leaves Gisborne on Monday for Auckland, where she is due the following day to complete her loading for Home. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel finally from this port on Saturday, August 31, for London, Ayonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. THE TANKER SVOLDER.—The Norwegian motor-tanker Svolder is expected to reach Auckland about August 30 with a full cargo of bulk oil for the Texas Oil Company. The tanker left San Pedro on August 8. She will unload a quantity of oil into the company's tanks at I"reeman s Bay, and the remainder of the cargo at Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is a twin-screw vessel of 6,362 tons~ and was built at Gothenburg in 1927. She is owned by Waages Tankreder Association, and her port of regitser is Oslo. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., will act as the local agent.
