BRITISH TENDER ACCEPTED

ELECTRIC-POWER CABLE On the recommendation of tl*e general manager. Mr. R. H. Bartley, a tender from the Callender Cable and Construction Company for 23,000yds of 22,000-volt .15 cable was accepted by the Auckland Electric-Power Board yesterday. A number of alternative tenders, all from British firms, had been received, and yesterday it was decided to purchase cable of tlie same type as is now in use on the Penrose-Kingsland link. The price quoted was £7.023 13s 9d.
