MR. STEPHEN AMBURY’S WILL METHODIST OBJECTS BENEFIT Under the will of the late Mr. Stephen James Ambury, important public bequests, particularly involving the Methodist Church, were made. Mr. Ambury died on July 23, and the estate, for probate purposes, was valued at £50,000. For the Auckland Institute and Museum, the Salvation Army, Children’s Home at Ponsonby, the Auckjand Sailors’ Home, and Dr. Barnado’s Homes in London, there are bequests of £250 each. When many private bequests are made, Mr. Ambury’s estate will be divided into 40 parts. Some will go to individuals, but there will be two each for the New Zealand Methodist Home Missions, the Wesley Training College, the Methodist Theological TrainMing College, and the New Zealand Methodist Foreign Missions. For Dr. Stephenson’s Children’s home in London, the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. in Auckland, the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, and the Mount Albert orphanage, one part each has been provided. The trustees will divide the remainder, at their discretion, among Protestant charities.
