DRAFTED TO FLAGSHIP
SUCCESS OF PHILOMEL TRAINEES COMPETITION WINNERS Eighteen boys of two . enior classes on the training ship H.M.S. Philomel will be drafted to H.M.S. Dunedin at the end of August. Trainees successful in : • cent competitions received their prizes yesterday morning before the ass mbled ship’s company. Mrs. Xelson Clover, wife of the commander, made the presentations, and the boys were congratulated on their efficiency. Most of the trainees v ill begin their annual leave on Thursday, but some have already left. The awards were: SPECIAL AWARDS Prize Essay.—l... Ackerlt ; , 1; R.
