KING’S SWIFT PROGRESS

EXCELLENT RECOVERY NOW BEING MADE MEASURES FULLY JUSTIFIED British Official Wireless Reed. 11.25 a.m. RUGBY, Sunday. Tlie King is understood to be making excellent progress toward recovery, and it is hoped that he will soon be able to take exercise out of doors. In tlie current issue of the “Lancet," it is stated that the measures taken to promote drainage of the abscess were fully justified, and have achieved speedy success. The inconvenience and discomfort of the first few days following any operation are not negligible, but the fact that the King was allowed to sit up for a short period as early as last Mondany, and for some hours on Tuesday, shows how little his general health has been disturbed. The "Lancet” adds: —“We are entitled to hope that his complete recovery is now only a matter of time, and that no further interference will be required.”
