NEW STEAMER RATA SIGHTED.— The Anchor Shipping Company's nrr cargo steamer Rata was sighted in th* Pacific, 750 miles south-west of Panama, by the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s motor-ship Port Alma, which reached Wellington from London on ?ri. clay. The Rata reported all well on board and that she was averaging nine ! and a-half knots. She is clue at Nelson - about next Thursday. .1
