EXPLOSION ON WARSHIP
Thirteen Seamen Dead GUN-TURRET IS BLOWN AWAY DISASTER ON H.M.S. DEVONSHIRE (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright * (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Keceived 9 a.m. MALTA, Friday. A GUN-TURRET was blown away by an explosion on H.M.S. Devonshire, in the eastern Mediterranean, and six men were killed. Altogether there are 25 casualties. Three men are in a critical condition, five are seriously injured, eight are less badly injured, and three are slightly hurt. A later message says that 13 men are now dead.
