MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT

The next concert by the Municipal Band will be given in the Town Hall on Saturday evening, August 3. The outstanding contribution by the band will be a Moorish Suite, “The Court of Granada,” by the Spanish composer, Rupeto Chapi, containing four very brilliant and original numbers. At the opening of the concert the “Marseillaise** and French National Songs will be played in compliment to our visitors. Two other items by the band will be a fine selection from Verdi's “Aida,” and Rossini’s “Barber of Seville” overture. Messrs. McLennan and Bowes will be responsible for solos on their respective instruments. A special feature will be songs with band accompaniment by Mrs. L. Parry. Booking arrangements are advertised.
