ENGINEER’S SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING HELD Stable membership and a slight improvement in bank balance were reported when the Auckland provincial district branch of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers held its annual meeting last evening, Mr. W. A. Gray presiding. The annual report stated that nine members had left the branch during the year and nine had joined, leaving the membership at 100, of which 36 were country members. The financial statement showed that the balance had increased from £27 to £33. The following officers were elected: Chairman, Mr. D. Holderness, Auckland; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. T. Murray, Auckland; city members, Messrs. W. A. Gray, W. McK. Jeffrey and Professor S. E. Lamb; country members, Messrs. F. C. Bunyard, Rotorua, W. M. Fraser, Whangarel, and W. Watkinson, Tauranga.
