INTER-HOUSE RUGBY

THE SOFT GOODS FIRMS STUART MILNE CUP CONTESTS Last year the retail soft goods houses held an inter-house Rugby competition for a cup donated by Mr. J. S. Milne. The competition was won by Milne and Choyce’s team. This season the scope of the competition has been widened to include the wholesale houses. Six teams will take part in the competition, which will open at Victoria Dark on August 8, and continue for four succeeding Wednesdays, starting at four o’clock. A good standard of Rugby should be witnessed. The teams will include players of the calibre of Lucas, Cammick, Berridge, So’oman, Fraser and A. Scott, all of whom as playing in senior football. The draw is as follows: First Round.—Sargood’s v. Smith and Caughey; Ross and Glendinning v. Milne and Choyce; Macky Logan’s v. John Court s. Second Round—Macky Logan’s v. Smith and Caughey; Sargood’s v. Milne and Choyce: Ross and Glendinning v. John Court’s. Third Round.—Macky Logan’s v. Milne and Choyce; Sargood’s v. Ross and Glendinning; Smith and Caughey v. John Court’s. Fourth Round.—Macky, Logan’s v. Sargood’s; Ross and Glendinning v. Smith and Caughey; Milne and Choyce v. John Court’s. Fifth Round.—Macky, Logan’s v. Ross and Glendinning; Sargood’s v. John Court’s; Smith and Caughey v. Milne and Choyce.
