MR. HENDERSON DISCUSSES QUESTIONS LEAGUE UNION DEPUTATION British Official Wireless Reed. 11.5 a.m. RUGBY, Saturday. A deputation from the League of Nations Union waited upon the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Arthur Henderson, yesterday, and discussed various international questions. Mr. Henderson said, in. a review of the Government’s policy referring to the optional clause, that there was no withdrawal from his party’s position as given in the general election manifesto. Should any reservations prove necessary, they would not be allowed to detract from the value of the signature. He was glad to say that the conversations with the United States were progressing very well. He was hoping before the next meeting of the League Council to get the fullest possible information about the minorities question, which would be raised there. Referring to the next meeting of the League Assembly, Mr. Henderson said an important declaration would be made by the Prime Minister, who would head the British delegation.
