STRONG BURGLARS
CARRY GAS-METER AWAY THEFT FROM CABARET (From Our Oral Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. A feat of strength was performed by burglars who visited the Regent Cabaret, Alexandra Street, between 5.15 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, and carried away a large gas-meter, containing 30s in cash. Air. G. J. Brown, the proprietor, made the discovery at 8 p.m., when he intended using the gas to prepare supper. A similar theft occurred at the cabaret about five weeks ago.
