NEW ST. MARY’S COLLEGE

TOMORROW’S OPENING CEREMONY Tomorrow afternoon the ceremony of opening and blessing St. Mary’s College, the building recently erected in New Street, Ponsonby, for the Sisters of Mercy, which was postponed last Sunday on account of wet weather, will be performed by Bishop Cleary. The erection of the building marks another stage in the work of the order, which has been labouring in New Zealand for more than 80 years. The Sisters devote themselves principally to education and their work has been of inestimable value to the country.
