ing the services of another brilliant young Maori player, William Shortland, of Whangarei. Shortland has just transferred to Auckland, and has joined up with the City Club. A bri I -
liant halfback, Shortland has represented East Coast and North Auckland, and was a member of the New Zealand Maori team which visited England and France two years ago.
