VISIT TO ’QUAKE AREA
PROPOSAL BY GOVERNORGENERAL INSPECTION OF DAMAGE 4 Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson propose next week to visit some of the areas on the West Coast of the South Island which have been badly affected by the earthquake. Leaving Wellington on Tuesday evening, their Excellencies will arrive at Greymouth the following afternoon. The next morning, Thursday, they vlll leave Greymouth by motor and arrive at Westport that afternoon. Friday and Saturday will be spent in the Westport and Seddonville areas. On Sunday afternoon Reefton will be reached. On Monday, July 22, their Excellencies will leave Reefton for Murchison, provided tlie roads are not impassable. They hope to reach there early that afternoon. They will stay at Murchison for the night and will leave the following day for Nelson, catching the steamer the same %jvening for Wellington, where they are due to arrive on the morning of Wednes-. day, July 24.
