Speaking in the House of Representatives today, he said that the Postmas-ter-General (the Hon. J. B. Donaid) was finding that those who supported the United Party were demanding their pound of flesh. Mr. Donald was coming back to earth and had stated that “Something at all events might be done for the P. and T. officers.” It was wellknown that the majority of the P. and T. employees had voted for the Government on the understanding that they would get better treatment than at the hands of the Reform Government. It was significant that in a recent issue of the official journal of the P. and T. Department that there was an article headed: —“Has the Political Change Been to Our Advantage?”
