“THE HUNGARIAN RHAPSODY”
KALEIDOSCOPIC BACKGROUND “The Hungarian Rhapsody” received an enthusiastic ovation at its premiere in Berlin recently. All who attended the opening night acclaimed it to be an overwhelming success. “The Hungarian Rhapsody” presents a fascinating pageant of movement and colour. It exploits brilliantly the beauty and interest of the Hungarian people, and peasantry, national costumes, court dances, and festivals. The panoply of military activities, with the bustle of early morning revels and the dancing of the fairy casardas, provides a kaleidoscopic background in which is set the simple love story of two simple people—a story that finds its way to the hearts of all. Willy Fritsch and Lil Dagover are the charming couple whose youth is set in the romantic frame of the story, with Dita Parlo as the suffering and beautiful heroine. The Hungarian Rhapsody” is due for release through Cinema Art Films.
