NOTED JOURNALIST

SIR MAURICE LOW DIES IN WASHINGTON (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) WASHINGTON, Monday. The death occurred in a Washington hospital today of Sir Maurice Low. Deceased was one of the most distinguished of English journalists. For many years he was the American correspondent of the London “Morning Post.” Sir Maurice was born in London in 1860 and educated at King’s College School and in Austria. He took a degree at Dartmouth College, America. He was a correspondent in Cuba during the Spanish-Ameriean War. He had written, among other publications, “The American People,” ; “America at Home,” “Protection in | the United Sttaes,” and “Woodrow Wilson.” He was knighted in 1922.
