FAREWELL FUNCTION TAURANGA BRANCH There was a large attendance in the Tauranga parish hall on Monday, when the Plunket Society tendered an afternoon social to Airs. CranierRoberts, who is leaving here to take up her residence in Auckland. Airs. Cramer-Roberts is an old settler. here, and has also taken an active part in public activities for the benefit of the town and district. She has held the office of treasurer to the Plunket Society for a number of j-ears. There was a programme of musical items, and a very dainty afternoon tea. The Alayor, Air. B. C. Robbins, on behalf of the citizens, gave a short address, referring to the many activities of Airs. Cramer-Roberts, and the esteem in which she was held. He made special reference to her work in connection with the Plunket Societv. and then called on Mrs. C. E. Macmillan to present the guest with a well-filled wallet. One of the Girl Guides then presented Mrs. Cramer-Roberts with a beautiful bouquet as a tribute of the guides’ appreciation of her friendship with them. Al.r. H. A. Sharp, in a brief and appropriate speech, returned thanks on behalf of Mrs. CramerRoberts. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent by all present.
