CAR GOES OVER BANK

Owing to the front axle of their car breaking while Mr. and Mrs. E. Lowe were motoring near the Tirau School, the steering gear was affected and the car went over a bank. Mr. Lowe escaped from under the vehicle, but Mrs. Lowe was pinned down and had to bo assisted out by passing motorists. She received a severe shock, and Mr. Lowe a badlybruised arm.
