AMERICAN IMPATIENT
ATTACKS LABOUR OFFICE FOR PROCRASTINATION UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) GENEVA, Sunday. At a plenary session of the International Labour Conference Mr. Hugh Gibson (United States) spoke on the presentation of the committee's report on unemployment. He said he found himself in a hopeless minority. He disapproved of the report as it begged the question. The Labour Office had procrastinated year after year in putting off the Question of a further inquiry. Resolutions would not satisfy the workers. Mr. Gibson referred to the Brazilian delegates’ proposal for a reallotment of populations, which would bring labour on to unoccupied lands. When the President asked him to curtail his speech owing to the lateness of the hour, Mr. Gibson asked for * postponement of the debate. The President refused. Mr. Gibson then continued. He Baid if Geneva failed thQ workers in Ending a solution it would be a bad uay for Geneva. Unemployment. A'oulc. be solved by a “get together” movement. He suggested this should be considered.
