There was an unusually large entry of dairy stock at the stock sale today and high prices were maintained. There was a heavy entry of fat lambs, which sold at late rates. Other fat sheep were down 2s a head. Prices were:—Sheep: Fat lambs, 22s 3d to 275; wethers. 32s to 33s 7d; ewes. 21s ♦id to 27s 8d; live-year store ewes, running with Southdown rams, 28s 3d to 30s 8d; two, four and six-tooth ewes, 31s 4xl; black face rape lambs, 16s 5d to 18s 4d; cwo lambs. 23s 3d to 265; wether lambs, IDs 2d to 24s 6d. Cattle: Store cows. £3 12. s fid to £4 17s: Shorthorn cows, £5 15s; heifers, £3 7s'6d; weaner heifers, C2 4s fat bullocks, £9 7s Gd to £9 17s 6.1; heifers, £4 17a 6d to £8; cows, £4 12s fid to £8: dairy cows. Jersey, £6 10s to £ls; springing heifers. £7 10s to £.i ’ 10s; cows in milk. £ll to £2O: small Jersey cows, £7 10s to £9 10s; cows due in July- August, £5 10s to £7.
