THE marauder who has been breaking into city offices 1 during the past fortnight proved himself a real °“cat ’ burglar last night, when he scaled various buildings and crept along the roofs. Wright's Buildings in Fort Street «nd he Government Life Insurance Buildings in Queen Street were entered, but little loot was obtained

: SPRINGING from a window on the 1 third floor of the Government Life Insurance business block the burglar landed on the stone parapet of B. J. M. Kemp's premises, next door. After walking along the parapet between the two blocks he reached a vindow which opened in to the worki rooms occupied by Mr. Kemp's em- .■ ployess in the Government Insurance building. The thief also tried to break into the offices of Mr. H. G. Gillespie, -harebroker, whose rooms are situated on the third floor of the Government Insurance block, but was unable to do so. On the same floor, the Official Assignee s premises were entered through a window. There, two keys not belonging on the premises, were taken. No other damage was done. . Two keys were found on a counter in the Mutual Life premises, hut they were not the keys removed from the assignee’s offices.
