TARIFF PROTESTS SENT
AMERICA'S NEW BILL OF INCREASES OBJECTIONS SUBMITTED C Australian and X.Z. Press Association J (United Service) Reed 9.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Wed. A formal Note from France protesting against the proposal to increase the tariff on certain French products imported into the United States has been delivered to the State Department. Formal protests against the tariff have also been filed by Spain, Italy and Persia, and more than a dozen nations have forwarded material through the State Department for consideration by the House Ways and Means Committee, and the Senate Finance Committee.
