MR. WILFORD’S TOUR HINT TO MASTERTON Press Association MASTERTON, Monday. The Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister of Defence, is visiting Masterton today investigating aviation problems. If landing grounds were not found in Masterton, he said, they would scr.rch further down the valley. "During my recert travels abroad,” said Mr. Wilford, “I realised how far behind New Zealand was in this important branch of transport. I have been inspecting grounds from Auckland to Invercargill, and now we have found our way to Masterton. It took us over three hours by rail from Wellington to Masterton -d by an airplane the same journey could be accomplished in half an hour. If you want people to stay here it is imperative that landing grounds De provided.”
