SEVEN-A-SIDE HOCKEY
THE ANNUAL TOURNEY SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME The seven-a-side hockey tournament and athletic meeting conducted by the A uckland Hockey Association annually on the King’s Birthday, will this year be held on Saturday, June 1, owing to the difficulty of arriving at a financial understanding with the present tenants of the Kemuera grounds. The starting times of the games in the various grades will be:—Fifth grade. 1.15 p.m.; fourth grade, 1.30 p.m.; third grade, 1.30 p.m.; second grade, 1.45 p.m.; senior grade, 2 p.m.; running events, 2.30 p.m. Teams will be called twice, and in the event of no answer the match will be lost by default. Captains of winning teams must report to the tournament secretary as soon as the match is finished. Referees are requested to strictly adhere to the time-table. They will be selected from the following: Messrs. R. Avery, H. Watts, A. Rivers, C. Preston, A. M. Burton, A. B. Burton, G. Peace, 11. Donaldson, B. Hall, N. J. Ellison.
