“KITTY” TOMORROW The fine programme now at the Majestic Theatre will be screened for the last time this evening. This includes “The Exploits of the Kmden." a film made by both the German and the Australian navies, also the amusing comedy “Troublesome Wives, ’ starring Mabel Poulton. Another of Warwick Deeping’s popular novels has been brought to the screen by British International Pictures. This is “Kitty,*' coming to the Majestic Theatre tomorrow. “Kitty” is the story of a marriage during the war of the only son of a , rich and snobbish woman, and the daughter of a tobacconist. The mother is convinced that the girl married her son for his money, but the girl is sincere, and finally proves her worth by wresting her husband from his mother's very unscrupulous hands. The author co-operated in the production of the picture, and has since written praising the faithful way the screen version adheres to the story*. Xo trouble or expense was spared to bring the story to the screen in its corect atmosphere. “Kitty.” which was produced amidst the picturesque and natural settings of one of the most charming beauty spots on the banks of the River Thames, stars Estelle Brody and John Stuart. One of Xew Zealand's foremost actors. Winter Ilall, is to be seen in “Kitty.” Mr. Hall first gained screen experience in Hollywood, where be appeared j in many films. One of his most important roles, was as “Joseph” in ‘ Ben , Hur.” British. International Pictures
then secured his services, and have signed him on a contract to appear in a number of its productions.
