TRADE WITH RUSSIANS
BRITISH DELEGATION RETURNS SATISFACTORY RESULTS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United. Service) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. Mr. Ernest Remnant has returned to London from Russia. He says he is more than satisfied with the results achieved by the industrial delegation to Russia. The majority of the important firms represented believed it to have been well worth while. The objects desired were achieved. Many representatives informed him that orders for the requirements disclosed would, ensure them working at full capacity for several years. Mr. Remnant has always insisted that diplomatic recognition should be conditional upon Russia’s undertaking both to compensate British nationals for their claims prior to 1917 and the cessation of hostile propaganda. The delegation obtained assurances in both respects, which he regarded as satisfactory.
