TO STIMULATE TRADE
BRITAIN, ARGENTINE AND BRAZIL MISSION INVESTIGATES British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Thursday. The Board of Trade announces that an Argentine and Brazil mission will consider the relations, industrial, commercial, and financial, of Great Britain with both countries, with a view to their development in the general interest. Viscount D’Abernon, who was in Germany from 1920 to 1926, has consented to preside over the mission, other members of which will be Sir William Clare, representing the textile industries; Mr. G. Rowland, representing the engineering industries; and Mr. Julian Piggott, representing the iron and steel industries. The mission will undertake a preliminary survey in this country of Anglo-Argentine and Anglo-Braziliian trading questions, and for this purpose will seek the co-operation of the chambers of commerce, trade associations, and other bodies, as well as individual firms interested in Argentina and Brazil.
