SALVAGE EFFORT FAILING, LLOYDS PAY OUT BOY’S MODEL STEAMER LONDON, May 10. Lloyd’s underwriters, who held the insurance on the £2,000,000 German liner Europa, which was partly destroyed by fire on March 26, met the claim for the total loss of a model steamer constructed by a schoolboy named Richard Levy, who, for a premium of 7s 6d, plus fees and stamp duty, took out an insurance for £S against fire, collision, and sinking, while sailing in ponds. The boat is at present lying at the bottom of the Round Pond in Kensington Gardens. Lloyd s experts failed to salve it, and paid over £8 8s 4d insurance, less brokerage. plus .salvage charges, „
