RAILWAY WORKS
Sir,— Several splendid leading articles have appeared in your paper lately on the subject of unemployment and Sir Joseph Ward’s, so far, unfulfilled promises to the electors and workers. May I suggest that the unemployed workers meet the Prime Minister on his arrival in Auckland at the railway station and perhaps get an assurance that no more public works and railways will be stopped in the North Island- If Aucklanders don’t wake up we shall find the work at the new railway station stopped! “ADVANCE AUCKLAND.”
