CAR OVER BANK

RESTING ON TREE TOPS NO SERIOUS INJURIES (Special to THE SUN) MANGAWEKA, Today. On Tuesday afternoon Mr. John Joseph Wright, farmer, of lower Kawhatau, and his wife and daughters were turning a sharp bend oil the road passing the Mangaweka recreation ground when the car left the road and plunged over a bank, coming to rest on the tree tops 30 feet below. The occupants were thrown clear and escaped serious injury. Mrs. Wright, however, received severe scalp cuts and a nasty bruise oil one side of her face. She was taken to the Taihape Hospital for treatment. Mr. Wright has a nasty cut on his forehead and cheek. One married daughter, from Palmerston North, has a deep gash across her nose and cheek, but the other escaped with slight cuts and bruises. Miss Vera W'right, who last year was thrown from a horse and has been under treatment ever since, escaped entirely.
