A RECORD RALLY

V 4U RING the final of the women's open singles in a recent tennis tourney at Bordighera, in the Riviera, Mrs. Satterthwaite and Mile. Valario produced what is believed to be the longest rally on record. For 17 minutes the ball flew backward and forward over the net without a single fault, the players making between them something like 400 strokes. The game was eventually won by Mile. Valario, who then collapsed. While this rally was in progress the finalists for the men’s singles playing in the adjoining court completed four games.
