BOYS’ TOURNEY The final of the boys’ tournament of the Auckland Golf Club was played yesterday morning at Middlemore. Steady rain fell during the play, and made conditions very unpieasont. The winner, C. Zahara, played very steady golf, and beat his opponent, G. J. Walker, 7 and 6. Zahara was out in 43, and with 3,4, 4, finished the match at the twelfth. A four-ball best-ball match was also played for trophies presented by Dr. J. F. Brown, and Mr. T. W. Delph, and resulted in a win for A. L. Morpeth and R. Macindoe, who finished 2 up. At the conclusion of the play, the prizes won during the tournament were presented to the boys by Mr. S. J. Hanna, club captain of the Auckland Golf Club. A special prize presented by the club’s professional, E. J. Moss, was allotted to H. Macindoe. PAPAKURA CLUB Following is the draw for the bogey match to be played by members of the Papakura Golf Club to-morrow; Blair v. Pegler; Bridgman v. D. McLennan; Hutchinson v. T. McLennan; Grey v. Watts; Beams v. Tilston; Olsen v. Smith; V. Elliott v. Hazard; Brooks v. Pavitt; Matheson v. Longford; Knight V. J. Elliott. HAMILTON LADIES’ CLUB The second round for Mrs. 11. Joll’s trophy, played by members of the Hamilton Ladies’ Golf Club, resulted as follows; Airs. W. Batt beat All's. D. Hay, 5 and 4; Airs. W. IT. Hume and Airs. P. E. Cleary, all square; Miss M. Allen beat Airs. T. 11. Alilroy, 3 and 2; Aliss J. AI asters won by default from Airs. W. Horton; Airs. P. E. Dingle beat Airs. E. AI. Alasters, 5 and 4; Airs. P. G. Russell won by default from Airs. G. W. Gower; Miss A. Coventry beat Airs. E. AI. Alasters, 3 and 2; Airs. C. O. Bennett beat Aliss M. McKenzie, 2 [ and 1. Matches in the second round of the Gillies Vase resulted as follow: Airs. C. Sutcliffe beat Airs. Colin Taylor, 5 and 4: Airs. G. Primrose won by default from Airs. W. Peterson; Aliss K. Oliver beat Airs. J. J. Standrin, 6 and 5; Airs. Guy Bindun beat Aliss G. AlcKenzie holed out the first hole with her tee shot. The next round for both competitions must be played within a fortnight. The annual open tournament will be held at Hamilton September 11, 12, and l 3.
